Venkat is the Managing Partner at SPMG EMEA.
He is a pricing expert with global experience driving tangible improvements in margin and pricing. Venkat uses a data-driven approach and relies on best practices in strategic, operational, and tactical pricing. He has a long experience in both formulating and implementing commercial strategies for B2B and B2C clients.
Venkat has worked for over 15 years both as a pricing leader managing pricing teams globally and as a pricing consultant leading high impact projects. He has also built pricing departments including pricing structures, processes, teams, and governance in global and regional settings. Furthermore, he enjoys training different functions including sales on good pricing practices and negotiations.
Some of Venkat’s expertise include value-based pricing, value mapping and building sales tools focused on value-selling, segmentation, strategic marketing, planning and forecasting, pricing analytics, growth strategies, go-to-market strategy, new product pricing, financial modelling, price management including implementation of pricing software, bid management and commercial excellence.
Some of his client industry verticals include – technology, services including SAAS, manufacturing, education, healthcare, ecommerce, CPG, packaging, publishing, professional associations, mining, private equity and non for profit. Some of the companies he has worked with include Johnson & Johnson, Imerys, Mcgraw Hill Education, DS Smith, ACCA, Dell, Klockner Pentaplast and Regus.
Venkat has an M.B.A. from HEC, Paris and an MS in electrical engineering from Arizona State University, Tempe. He has also completed strategic marketing executive course at INSEAD, Fontainebleau.
