“But I Only Want an Oil Change”

When you bring your car in for an oil change, does it matter much to you that the technician or mechanic is fully trained on electronic transmission or air conditioner servicing? Clearly not, so there’s no reason why you’d be willing to pay an hourly fee based upon such an extensive background for a simple oil change. The auto service business owner will argue that all of their mechanics are fully trained and certified, and therefore each must be paid an hourly rate reflecting the aggregate of their training and experience…even for just an oil change.
